Professor Anthony Payne – Bravo Charlie Lemur

Anthony Payne is a retired Professor of Anatomy at University of Glasgow. He’s going to talk about a two week nature-based holidays on Madagascar and all the awe-inspiring flora and fauna one can encounter in this beautiful part of the world.

One of the iconic Madagascan species is ring-tailed lemur (we all loved King Julien, didn’t we?). Unfortunately, these charismatic animals are under severe threat due to habitat destruction. In his talk Professor Payne will outline the threats to lemur populations and wildlife in general, and some of the problems of the Malagasy people which contribute directly to these threats.

All ZooSoc members are welcome to join us for wine and cheese in the Zoology Museum after the talk.
